On Wednesday Stoke-on-Trent City Council held their annual Staff Awards ceremony, where the City Archives - along with the rest of the wider Archives Relocation Project team - had been nominated for the Team Awesome award. Despite some deserving competition we're pleased as punch to say we were announced as the winners, bringing home a very special trophy in recognition of the hard work and dedication that made our move to The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery such a success. It makes for a pretty sweet early Christmas present too, don't you think?!

As if that wasn't enough, each of us also received our very own "Stoke Springs Eternal" mug with special Staff Awards lettering inside the lip and a custom backstamp too... snazzy! If it can be said than an archive service runs on tea, then these will get plenty of use in the coming years.

This then feels like a good time to sign off here on the blog. The Stoke-on-Trent City Archives is Moving microsite won't be going anywhere in the immediate future, but winning an award that certifies us as awesome seems like a pretty good final flourish to us! We hope you've found the microsite informative and entertaining: first and foremost we wanted to make our key access and timeline information as quick to find and as easy to understand as possible; producing blogs and vlogs to document our move journey, and sharing all of that with you, was the icing on the cake 😊
